The Delivery Rider Role at Zomato
You will handle one meal order at a time in most cases, with the app queuing the next pickup as soon as you complete a drop. Zomato provides an insulated delivery bag and t-shirt at onboarding so you are ready for your first food order. Earnings for this role are estimated at ₹28,000–₹36,000 per month; the more consistently you work, the closer you get to the top of the range.
Expect part-time hours: shorter shifts in Pandit Colony, scheduled entirely by you through the app.
Responsibilities
- Keep the delivery app updated at pickup and drop off
- Secure the order in the delivery bag before riding
- Deliver during the committed time slot shown to the customer
- Complete the handover politely even when the customer is delayed
- Ride safely and avoid shortcuts through no entry roads
- Hand over orders directly to the customer or as instructed
- Pack multiple items so nothing tips over or leaks in the bag
- Avoid unnecessary stops between the restaurant and the customer
