What are the ways to become an Amazon delivery partner?

One person can deliver for Amazon in India in three ways: Amazon Flex, a job with a delivery service partner (DSP) company, or Amazon Hub Delivery if you own a shop. Amazon signs you up directly for Flex and Hub. For a DSP job, the DSP company hires you, not Amazon.

How do I join Amazon Flex?

Download the Amazon Flex app from Google Play, sign in with an Amazon account and finish the steps in the app. Amazon’s Flex FAQ says you can usually start in 5–10 business days, once your background check is done.

  1. Check your city. You can only deliver where Flex operates.
  2. Download the Amazon Flex app on an Android phone. It’s separate from the Amazon shopping app.
  3. Sign in with your Amazon account, or create one. You can have only one Flex account.
  4. Answer the background check questions. Amazon’s verification partner checks things like your address, licence and any criminal record. This usually takes 2–5 business days.
  5. Choose your vehicle and delivery type: two-wheeler, three-wheeler or e-bike, then Amazon standard or Amazon Now.
  6. Choose a service area: where you’ll pick up and deliver parcels.
  7. Watch the training videos, then add your PAN and bank details.
  8. Book your first block from the offers screen and reach the pick-up point on time.

The two delivery types work differently:

The Amazon Flex app on Google Play is free and published by Amazon Mobile LLC, with 5 million+ downloads worldwide and a 4.4 rating.

What documents do I need to become an Amazon delivery partner?

For Amazon Flex you need a PAN card, a driving licence, your vehicle’s RC, insurance and pollution (PUC) certificates, and a savings or current bank account. PAN is compulsory: Amazon says you can’t deliver for Flex without one.

How much does an Amazon delivery partner earn?

The Amazon Flex site says most drivers earn up to ₹140 an hour. What you actually get depends on your city, how many deliveries are available, and other factors. Every block offer shows the estimated earnings and length before you accept it.

For DSP jobs, the company that hires you sets the pay, and Amazon doesn’t publish it. Hub Delivery shops are paid for each package, once a month. We couldn’t find an official per-parcel rate for any Amazon delivery work in India, so we haven’t given one.

How do I get a job with an Amazon delivery service partner?

Apply to the delivery service partner (DSP) company itself, not to Amazon. Amazon’s DSP FAQ describes DSPs as local companies that deliver its parcels, and each one hires and trains its own delivery associates.

Never pay anyone for a delivery job or an “Amazon ID”. Amazon warns Hub partners never to pay fees or deposits to people who claim to represent it, and the same goes for anyone selling Amazon jobs.

Can I deliver for Amazon from my shop or start a delivery franchise?

Yes, if you own a shop: Amazon Hub Delivery (earlier called “I Have Space”) pays local businesses to deliver Amazon parcels within 2–3 km of the shop. Running your own delivery company is a much bigger commitment.

Amazon Hub Delivery. You need a permanent business address, valid business documents and time to make local deliveries. Amazon asks for one ID (Aadhaar, driving licence, voter ID or passport), your PAN, and a store document or utility bill, plus a rental agreement if the shop is rented. It says there’s zero investment and no security deposit. You’re paid for each delivered package on the first working day of the next month, and you and enrolled staff get accident cover up to ₹5 lakh and medical cover up to ₹1 lakh.

Starting a DSP company. Amazon calls this a Delivery Service Partner, not a franchise. Its DSP FAQ says there’s no joining fee, start-up costs are ₹1.5–5 lakh, and you’ll need working capital on top. The owner must run daily operations, so it isn’t for part-timers or passive investors. Selection takes 2–6 weeks and openings are limited. Franchise websites quote other figures, so go by Amazon’s own pages.
